Students, Alcohol and Drugs Survey 2024-25 Report Launch

The Students, Alcohol and Drugs Survey is our annual research, designed to identify students’ relationships with alcohol and drugs at institutions across the UK and Ireland. Additionally, it provides a means to understand changes in attitudes and behaviours towards alcohol and drugs, and develop responses to support students and staff in higher education.

The launch event will present the most recent research, and additionally help you to think about how you could respond to this on your campus. This event will be of interest to students and staff across higher education, in universities and students' unions as well, colleagues in further education and secondary education and colleagues in wider drug and alcohol related fields.

The event will be hosted online, and is co-hosted by SOS-UK and the Drug Education Forum.

Join us to hear from the following brilliant speakers:

  • Fiona Spargo-Mabbs OBE, Director and Founder, Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation
  • Molly Russell, Research Co-ordinator, SOS-UK
  • Fiona Murray, Project Manager - Wellbeing, SOS-UK

The research covers the following issues:

  • Patterns and practices of alcohol consumption/student drug use
  • Perceptions of alcohol consumption/student drug use on campus
  • Non-drinkers/drug users
  • Impacts of alcohol consumption/drug use
  • Reducing impact through responsible consumption/drug advice, support and university drug policy
