Learn how to deliver alcohol awareness training to students and how to run successful alcohol awareness interventions.
This training will enable staff to deliver alcohol awareness training to students/societies/sports groups as well as exploring how to run successful alcohol awareness interventions.
As recommended by the UUK report into student initiations, the training will also cover educating students about the risks of consuming alcohol in large quantities and guidance on caring for those who are intoxicated.
When is the training?
The training will take place from 1pm– 4pm on the 25th of May 2023 with a comfort break included.
Who is this training for?
This training is appropriate for both students' union and university staff and gives the ability to connect with staff from other institutions who are leading on the promotion of responsible drinking in students.
Where is this training taking place?
On Zoom. Participants will be sent the Zoom link a few days before the training begins.
